Friend Friday: Out of the Hair Box

This week Katy of Modly Chic asked the FBFF group about our hair.  At first I wasn’t going to answer these questions, because I felt they didn’t really apply to my hair, but I found a way to relate and delve into something I’ve been wanting to do for a while (see the bottom of post)!
1. How often do you get your hair cut?

I do not get my hair cut.  Once my locks reach my booty (right above it really), I will keep them trimmed, until I decide to do other wise.

2. Do you go to the same stylist each time, try someone new, go to the cheap hair cutting chains or live it up in a salon?
This question SO doesn’t apply to me!  lol
3. Do you color your hair? How often? What’s your natural color?
I color my hair whenever I am in the mood; I’ve had my locks colored a total of 4 times in the 6.5 years that I have been growing them.  About a month ago I got my tips dyed a black cherry color, which I LOVE! My natural hair color is dark brown (though when I was a kid I had sandy red hair and still do on my arms).
4. The one thing you always do to keep your hair looking great is:
Monthly lock maintenance (oil my hair with olive oil and try sculpted hairstyles- I couldn’t name just one hehe).
5. What hair trend do you love and wish you could rock?

The halo braid (or any kind of french braid), but I do not know how to braid and I think my hair might be too thick!  Now that I think about it, I am going to go to a stylist (for natural hair) and see if she can do one for my birthday :-).
I’ve gotten a few questions and inquiries about my hair or a hair tutorial, but I have NO idea where to start!  If you have any questions about my hair (how its maintained, what it is, my various hairstyles, etc.) please leave them in the comments or send me an email, and I will answer them all in a post.
