Lady Denim

DISCLAIMER:  I was in a crazy hurry Sunday morning, and didn’t realize my clothes were not laying the way I thought when I took these pictures, but I wanted to share anyway, so don’t judge me, lol.

Hey there darlings!! How was your weekend?  My weekend was lovely!  I didn’t do anything particular but try to relax, visit my granny in the hospital, and go to church Sunday morning.  The rest of my time was spent being a lazy bum (oh and I finally unpacked), and I rather loved it, lol.  It’s nice to just do nothing every now and then.

Sunday morning when I got up for church, these jeans were calling me (In the words of the beautiful Nefferth, I’m an Emotionista), but I must admit I tried to make a skirt or two call my name by trying them on because I love them so.  However, I learned long ago that I should just wear what speaks to me each day and not fight it.  I don’t know why I was fighting it (guess it’s because I don’t care to wear jeans to Sunday church services), because I LOVE these jeans!  I call them my lady jeans, because while I adore my skinny jeans and pants as much as the next chick, there’s something about flared jeans that that make me feel like a grown up, hehe.

My left pant leg is doing the weirdest thing in these photos, lol.

Blazer: Judy Hornby- vintage from Goodwill (similar); Blouse: Claude Bennett (similar)- vintage from Imperfect Concepts; Jeans: GAP; Shoes: Jessica Simpson (similar); Bag: Zara

If you are a tall girl and order these jeans, or some similar, just a heads up, you will probably have to get the hem taken out.  I bought these in tall, but they were too long for flats and not quite the length I liked for heels.  Alterations really are a girl’s best friend :-).

This year I want to make an effort to include more close-ups of the details and accessories in my outfit post, so here’s my start :-).

Rings from L to R: Forever 21; Topshop; Street vendor lady in Soho; Vintage from my mom; Wendy Brandes

Have a wonderful week lovelies, and don’t forget to enter my Vintage Valentine giveaway that ends today!!

P.S. I’m playing around with picture size, so these are smaller than pics from previous post from this year, what do you think?
