Two As One
Happy top of the week lovelies!! How was your weekend? I truly hope you enjoyed it! Friday I had an unexpected lunch date with with one of my oldest best friends, Tiffany, and had a spontaneous gelato date with one of my favorite girlies, Ashely
. Sadly, I attended the funeral of a very lovely lady on Saturday, but I know she is at peace in heaven. The rest of my weekend consisted of family time, laughter, a wonderful church services, and a bit of relaxation, and now I am ready to face the week head on!!
The weather in Houston has been so up and down crazy, so when the weatherman said the temperature was 50 degrees Sunday more, with a high in the 70′s I wanted to wear something that would be comfortable when I went in church and when I came out. I knew I wanted to wear my cheetah booties (pretty soon it will be TOO hot for them), and built up from there!
I’d been wanting to layer one of my sheer skirts with a printed one, so I layered this skirt, and this skirt, but you can’t really see it in the full body pictures, thanks to the sunlight. Nonetheless, I just LOVE how the two look together!!
Sweater: no brand- Target boy’s section; Polka Dot Skirt: made by my friend’s aunt (similar); Peach Skirt: Laurence Kazar- Vintage (similar); Belt: Vintage; Shoes: Senso- Nasty Gal (similar)
Top to Bottom: INPINK; Forever 21 (the stretch beads); The others are vintage
Nakate necklace as bracelet and Vintage Waltham watch
Left to Right: Wendy Brandes; Dirdy Birdy; Made my yours truly; Forever 21 (similar)
With the sudden passing of Mrs. Clyde last week, I’ve been doing a lot of thinking and acting on what it means to value and cherish each day, and I realize that it means living in the moment, finding reasons to smile, doing what it takes to make your dreams and goals a reality, and ensuring that your voice, needs, and wants are heard. Sometimes, I struggle with placing my needs on the back burner for others (or at least I did before last week), and I encourage you as I encourage myself to do so no more! My needs and wants are just as important as those of my loved ones. Love each day, live each day, and enjoy each day my dears.
Would you wear two skirts as one?
HAVE AN AWESOME WEEK LOVELIES!!

Love this look, I’m a big fan of the shoes! Sounds like it was a “whirlwind” weekend. My condolensces again on the lost of your friend.

This is awesome…I want to try this type of layering sometime in the future. Ya know, I’ve always been known to try and put my need first but my friends (one in particular) thinks that I’m being selfish when I do so. I really don’t understand!!
