Hey darlings!! I hope your Monday was great! Mine was wonderful, yet stressful, as one of my final projects is kicking my butt, and I haven’t quite delve into my other one yet, lol. That’s the great thing about having a blog, I can take a break from my school work, or any other stressful thing in life, and come write a post or chat with you guys on social media :-).
When I was visiting New York in February, I decided to walk to Macy’s before going to a few events one night in search for a really cute wedge bootie because my feet were exhausted from walking in heels, lol. I walked past a store with a bunch of people and 60,70, and 80% sale signs, so at times impulsive shopper in me had to detour from my trip to Macy’s! The store was Joe Fresh, of which I’d never heard of before, but I was surely smitten with the great prices on some cute basics. I tried on a few pairs of pants, but my bottom half was not having it, lol! So, I left the store with this super comfy and cute t-shirt, as well s some other tops and sweaters.
I am so crazy for the sequin shoulders! One of the best $9 I’ve ever spent; I only wish I could have bought it in many many colors. By the way, this necklace from Erickson Beamon for BaubleBar has to be one of the best pieces from an event swag bag ever! Some day a gorgeous piece from one of their high-end collections shall be in my budget, until then I shall treasure this necklace :-).
Shirt: Joe Fresh (another sequin option); Pants: Virgo- half of altered vintage jumpsuit from Imperfect Concepts (similar or similar); Shoes: Steve Madden- Marshall’s (similar); Handbag: Nila Anthony- c/o Handbag Heaven
When the lovely ladies of Handbag Heaven contacted me about giving me a new bag, I was excited because I am currently on a shopping ban/break and because I was thinking I need more handbags. I buy WAY more shoes than handbags, so this orange bowler is just what my closet needed.
I decided to try out the retro bang with my hair down that talked about in this post. I’m still not completely sure of how I feel about it, but I think I like it may wear it again :-).
Darlings, I am thinking that I need to take the rest of the week off to really focus on my final projects for my Web Design and Photography class due next week. So unless, I miraculously finish these projects early, I won’t be posting here (but I’ll still be popping in on Twitter and Instagram here and there) until Monday. I really hope y’all will understand, and say a little prayer for me because grad school is kinda kicking my butt this semester :-).
HAVE AN AWESOME WEEK!
