Outfit Post vs. Sunday Dinner

Disclaimer: I’m playing around with technology, so this whole post was written, photographed, and published from my phone.

Hey lovelies!! I hope you’ve had an awesome weekend! My weekend was rather lovely…I spent Saturday at the International Festival with my nephew and Reiko, went to a concert for the youth choir at church, enjoyed a wonderful church service on Sunday, and ate dinner with babe. When Sunday afternoon arrived I had to decide between blogging and cooking a yummy Sunday dinner, as all of my time from here until next Sunday shall be on my final projects. Guess which won!! Ding, ding, ding…Sunday dinner! Lol So instead of sitting at my computer editing through photos and writing today’s post I made a good ole Southern meal of turkey necks (have you ever had them?), rice and gravy, cabbage, yams, and cornbread!!

As a result of my yummy Southern Sunday dinner, I wasn’t going to post today, but then decided to give the WordPress app a try since I had pictures of the food on my phone. Besides, I thought I’d share the slightly domestic side of myself with you all :-).

If you’re a blogger, have you ever had to put your blog before or after another important facet of your life? Maybe you aren’t a blogger…what’s your key to balancing the many facets of your life? I’d love to hear about it!

So funny…when I was home a couple weeks ago my mom made me the EXACT same meal lol!! She actually cooked for me everyday I was there…maybe I should move back! :-) Next time I’m there by the way, we should get lunch or something.

As for making time for blogging – with my outfit posts its usually pretty easy because as soon as I get home for the day from school, I take my pics, edit, upload, etc and just do a post right then…takes me maybe 20 minutes tops. For my d-i-y and food posts, those are usually planned out for days I know that I have less going on so that I know I have the extra time to take pics in between steps. :)

sooo, where’s my invite for next sunday’s dinner?? lol! food looks great and i love how you did the whole post via-phone. its tough trying to balance…idk how i do it sometimes. lol…i usually plan my posts ahead of time, with words or photos already uploaded and edited, then i add the words (or pics). it make blogging and life a bit easier.

glad you had a great weekend and glad you’re feelin better :-)
