Hey lovelies!!! I do hope y’all had a great weekend! Mine was a mixture of joy and sadness, as I attended a funeral and a baby shower on the same day, went to my little cousin/god brother’s 13th birthday party, and have come down with a sinus/allergy/cold…a weekend of ironies .
Last Sunday was Women’s Day at church, and as a member of the choir (I generally only sing for Women’s Day each year) we were to wear shades of brown and beige with brown shoes. There was no way I was wearing brown! Something about brown on brown just doesn’t work for me, lol.
It was super hot and sunny out, so my nephew and I did a lot of moving around, in a very short time period (I was tired after singing all day), to try to get pictures where I didn’t look like a big dark shadow, hehe.
I was supposed to wear brown shoes, but finding a pair of solid brown shoes that I actually liked was very hard, but I instantly fell in love with these beauties while doing a bit of shopping on 4th of July.
This outfit is simpler than anything I usually wear. I even kept my jewelry to a minimum, as to keep with choir decorum. I was definitely out of my comfort zone!!! It’s nice to step out of your comfort zone in one area of life or another from time to time .
As you may have noticed, my blogging has been a bit sporadic ever since something pretty horrid happened to me earlier this month. I’ve really found it pretty hard to blog while coming to grips with what happened and dealing with the end result, along with preparing for the launch of my business. Bloggers are only human, and sometimes a break is needed. So, I have decided to take a one (or two) week blogcation. However, you can catch me on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook in the meantime . Make sure you are following me in your reader or on Bloglovin’ so that you can be the first to know when I share a new post! Thanks in advance for understanding. <3
HAVE A GREAT WEEK DARLINGS!!!
