Mixed Prints
HEY there lovelies!!! It’s been two weeks since I’ve written a blog post here, and I’ve missed y’all!! Nonetheless, the break was just what I needed on so many levels, and I appreciate y’all’s patience and understanding. While I was away, I threw a sleepover for 20 teenage girls at church this last Friday night, and if you follow me on Instagram, you know that I got zero hours of sleep, so pardon me if I look tired (as my best friend told me Sunday) in these pictures, as this is what I wore to church Sunday
.
My cousin (who’s more like my big sister) Kin bought me this beautiful skirt for my birthday, that looks to have tiny splats of paint all over it or something, but when she bought it, it was a maxi skirt, that like most maxi skirts isn’t quite long enough to touch the floor, even without heels, but not short enough to be a maxi. So, I cut it
. I hemmed the lining, and left the edges of the outer skirt ragged, as I kind of have a thing for imperfection at times. I was worried that she’d be mad at me for cutting it, but she knows me, lol, and was totally cool with it, as long as I’d actually wear it, and I LOVE it!
Y’all know I love mixed prints, so I couldn’t resist adding stripes and chevron to this lovely skirt! Are you into the mixed print trend? I went for three in this outfit, how many prints do you think are too many in one outfit?
T-shirt: Old Navy; Skirt: I cut the tag out, so IDK; Belt: Forever 21 (similar); Pink clutch: ASOS (similar or this pink option); Chevron Clutch Cover™ : Clutched & Covered (coming soon); Shoes: Jessica Simpson- DSW (suede version)
If you follow me on social media, then you know my shop/company Clutched & Covered is launching soon (aiming for next Wednesday
), this chevron is one of my favorites (well, they’re all my favorites, lol).
HAVE AN AMAZING WEEK DARLINGS!!!

Rocquelle you look divine! I love the chevron, with the stripes and is that floral?. All I know it is incredible.

Glad to see you back! Love your mixed prints in this look. And those shoes! Very cute!
I too have cut a maxi into a midi. I’m 5’3″, so sometimes I feel like its necessary. As far as mixing prints, I dabble in it a little. Like today, I’m wearing stripes and leopard. I’m just not as confident in my mixing capabilities… YET! =D
