LOVELIES!! It’s Friday, and I’m excited about it!!! lol How has your week been? Excellent, I hope . My week has been great, stressful, exhausting, healing, emotional, and so much more, but I am extremely grateful as I type this. Every week I share pictures (via Instagram, or my regular iPhone camera) of things that made me smile.
I must deviate from my usual smile post a bit, because while my green and leopard nails, a chain I found in my friend’s closet that I “made” my own , a treat in the mail from Tasha for being a valued customer, finding the perfect anklet on Etsy, these swoon worthy boots from Zara, a “healthy” snack of water and Scooby-Doo fruit snacks, and fabric of pretty colors and prints made me smile this week….
The greatest reason that I am smiling this week, is the launch of company/Etsy shop, Clutched & Covered, launching today!!!
If you have been reading this blog long enough, then you may remember, from December, this post, where I shared my latest (at the time) DIY experiement (see it here and here in outfit posts). Well the response was so great, that a business idea was born . After 8 months of learning to sew, doing legal and competitor research, some trial and error, paperwork, coming up with enough money on my graduate student budget, and the support of my family and friends, my baby, Clutched & Covered, has officially been born! I’m excited, nervous, and feeling truly blessed to have watched my DIY experiment (I just wanted a bit of fur since it had been too warm for my vintage fur coat in Houston, lol) turn into a business (even if it’s a small one ).
My first clutch cover™ is so flawed, yet so perfect; I can’t wait to carry her, as is, during Fall/Winter . She (yes I consider my clutch covers™, and everything else in my closet, to be females, lol) will always be a reminder of where Clutched & Covered started.
I must take a moment to thank the awesome Stephanie Jimenez for doing such a great job of turning an image, from the above mentioned post, into this illustration that I love so much!!
(remember when I gave her an outfit post?)
Though I’m not sure if she’s reading, the opportunity to start my own business could not be possible without the support and encouragement of my fabulous momma, who truly is the BEST in the world!!!!
Finally darlings, many of you only know me through this blog and don’t know if I am real or fake, but you take the time to send me encouraging words, let me know when a fabric is cute, and just show all out support in one way or another, so THANKS to you my dears!
Now, enough of my rambling…what are somethings that made you smile this week?! I really do want to know .
HAVE A FANTASTIC WEEKEND LOVELIES!!
