1 in 4…
Happy Saturday darlings!! Many of you have wondered what happened, sent your prayers, and emailed to check on me, after I mentioned in this post and this post that something horrid happened to me, well the video below that I completed for a class (the assignment was to address a social issue), should answer your question(s).
I created this video, not to receive your sympathies, but in hopes that someone may be helped.

I am thankful for your determination to make this video because we need people like you. There are people who need this final buzz to get out of their situation.
Much love,
Hang

Bravo for stepping up and standing up for yourself. I commend you for that. My prayers are with you as you heal the emotional wounds. Putting hands on anyone is not right. I’m glad you walked away and making sure your safety was put first.

Hi Rocquelle,
I commend you on opening up and sharing your story. It’s people like you that will save another person’s life. I also commend you on your courage to just walk away and not allow it to happen another time because if it happens once it can definitely happen again as you stated. I have a cousin who lost her life because she was going to leave and her boyfriend and he couldn’t handle her leaving and he shot and killed both her and and their son they had together and called the police and told him that he had done it. He mad it very clear that if she wasn’t going to be with him she wasn’t going to have any other men.
Again thanks so much for your bravery and I will be praying for you! xo

Oh my dear, I am so glad that you shared this story. The stats are horrific, and also women being attacked in general, as I was attacked several years ago. There is NEVER a reason for domestic violence or any abuse in a relationship. I know you are a strong woman, and wishing you peace to get through it. Big hugs to you dear and you are in my prayers. xx/Madison

I want to applaud you taking a stand and sharing your experience. I am so sorry that you had to deal with this, but your bravery is so inspiring. I have never experienced it myself but I have someone really close to me (blood relative) that has dealt with this(and maybe still) but hasn’t had the courage to leave. I pray that she does one day not for just her sake but the sake of her 3 boys!! Thank you for sharing and I am praying God continues to strengthen you and that your story really does help someone (female or male) to get out and seek help because no one and I mean NO ONE deserves to be mistreated in this way!!

I’m so sorry this happened to you. I know you know you did nothing to deserve it. It was a very good decision you made to leave him! Can you imagine if you found out later that he was violent? You’re in my prayers, and I hope this never, never happens to you again.

I am so angry and sorry that this happened to you…no one deserves to be abused physically, mentally nothing. I’m so glad that you shared this and hopefully you can give someone else the strength to get out of a bad situation they may be in. Much love.

You are brave for sharing this and “RIGHT ON” for leaving and not going back. My mother is still with my father and he hits her right to this very day. TRUST ME LADIES-if you let him get by once, he will do it again and again. We grew up around this violence and some of my siblings have had a harder time dealing with it than myself and have handled it in ways that they shouldn’t have. Anywho- LADIES-if you are dealing with domestic abuse, a push will will turn into a punch, and a punch could likely turn into your death. Today could be your last day, so LEAVE RIGHT NOW!

Dear Rocquelle,
You are so brave making this video. And you’re making the world a better place doing so.
And even though I know you did not make this video for yourself but for others, I do hope that you will feel better as well. Because you don’t deserve this! You have such a beautiful soul! The best of luck to you and to all the women out there who are not treated the way they’re supposed to be treated. Nobody deserves something like this!

Thank you for posting this. I actually did a post about this last October called “I am worthy of unconditional love and so are you”. I was a victim of domestic violence–not physical so much, he never hit me, he only pushed me around, but definitely sexual and mental. I really appreciate you sharing this with us. I hope that you find strength and if you need anything, please email me. I’m sorry that you had to go through this. It is the worst to be betrayed in this way by someone who is supposed to love you. It leaves scars for years and years. Scars that may never heal fully. I really appreciate you reaching out.
