Black Majestic

Happy Tuesday my dears!!! I hope your week has been off to a wonderful start! My air conditioner has been on the outs all weekend, so my week started off hot, lol. Being that my air at home is not usable until later on today (I hope), and it has not been cool outside, I have NO idea what made me put on this black long sleeve maxi for church Sunday, lol.

I was out thrifting with Reiko a couple of months ago and wondered up this black maxi dress! At first I was hesitant because this dress is a bunch of black, and if you’ve read this blog enough, you may have noticed that black isn’t a color (well black isn’t really a color if you get all color theoretical about it) that I wear often, and certainly not all black. However, when I held up the dress, felt it in my hands, and finally tried it on, I just HAD to have it.

Dress: Unknown- vintage from thrift store (similar in a bold color); Belt: Unknown- Marshall’s; Vest: Levi’s- vintage from Goodwill (similar); Shoes: Steve Madden (same shoe different color); Clutch: ASOS; Red-Orange and Black Polka Dot Clutch Cover: Clutched & Covered; Necklace: Forever 21 (similar)

Of course I had to give the maxi a twirl! I just love the way it moves :-).

I’m not one for walking around swallowed in black, but this dress makes me feel so majestic; I want to wear it everyday!! So, if you are a thriftier and/or vintage connoisseur (everyone who wears vintage doesn’t shop in thrift stores; I’ve only been going to thrift stores my self for about 5 months) and you see a dress that is the sister of this one, please let me know because I want it in every color, lol. Do you have a piece or pieces in your closet that make you feel majestic or extremely special? If so, I’d love to hear about it in the comments!

P.S. Don’t forget to enter the “A Few of my Favorite Things” Giveaway!! Today is the last day.
