Happy Thursday lovelies!!! If you’ve been reading this blog for a while then you remember the Your Body Is Fabulous series :-). The YBIF series was started as a result of a book I started writing many years ago, “Your Body Is Fabulous: Dress Like It,” because I feel style and fashion is nothing if you don’t love the body you’re dressing. So, every Thursday I feature a lovely lady, bloggers as well as other gorgeous ladies I know or meet, who tell us what makes their bodies fabulous! The purpose is to empower women to accept and love their bodies’ as they are by showing women with various body types, skin colors, hair textures, and more.
(the first 12 ladies featured in this series in 2011)
Towards the end of 2012, the series took a bit of a break because I was having a hard time finding women to feature, but I couldn’t let the series die. Sometimes a break is simply necessary. I’ve had the honor to feature 52 wonderful women (check them out here) in this series, thus far, and have received many emails and comments letting me know how this series has helped and/or inspired them, so the show must definitely go on :-). Going forward I will feature a lovely telling us what makes her body fabulous every other week (instead of every week), and I have some awesome ladies lined up to share with you starting next week!
Nonetheless, like before, I want to feature you, my amazing readers as well! All you have to do is send me an email (email@example.com) with 5 pictures (please make sure they’re clear and not too grainy), and answer the 6 questions below.
- What makes your body fabulous?
- What is your favorite thing about how you look? And why?
- What are your favorite things to wear to flatter your body or just help you feel good?
- When it comes to finding clothes, what are some issues you come across? And how do you solve them?
- What role do you think the media plays in body acceptance?
- What are your thoughts on female body acceptance and appreciation?
It’s just that simple to share your fabulousness and inspire other women in the process :-). I look forward to featuring YOU and sharing the ladies with you all that I already have lined up!
