Live and Love

So, I had this spiel in my head planned for this outfit post about doing you, being fearless in your style and such, but I must be honest with you, my heart is heavy right now, after learning of my godmother’s passing.  This really has me thinking about life, as she is the third person of some level of relation to me to die in the last 3 weeks.  My godmother was a fearless, strong, hysterical woman who was always down for a good time, and while I am remorseful that it had been a while since I’d seen her, I am thankful to have had her in my life for the last 14 years, and grateful to God the she suffers no more.

I said all of that to say, enjoy life my darlings and love the people in it.  Follow your dreams, break fashion rules, say a kind word to a stranger, make sure the people in your life know that you love and  care about them, wear what makes you happy, put a smile on someone’s face, take a moment to bask in God’s sunshine, and do what it takes to live a life of joy!

  • I am sorry for your loss. My grandma passed away right after her birthday. We like to think that she waited to see all her children and grandchildren’s faces at her last party before leaving earth. She died peacefully. It’s nice to see another blogger mention God. I am a believer myself.

I love your hair and outfit! Breaking fashion rules is an awesome motto.

  • My condolences to you and your family Rocquelle. Thank you for sharing with us even when times are hard for you. The message that you gave is an important one, and very necessary. I’ve been wanting to try the no-sew tulle skirts of yours for some time now, but never really had the guts to do it. In reading your post today, I am one step closer 😉 Thank you again for your continued inspiration.
