Simple Statement

As I mentioned in yesterday’s post, I finished one of my DIY projects over the weekend, and it was another DIY no-sew tulle skirt (if you missed the first one, see this post)!! I loved it SO much that I couldn’t wait to wear it, so I wore it to church Sunday :-).

I wore this black dress under it, since the skirt doesn’t have a lining, and the top of the dress made for a simple top with this statement skirt. For some reason, as I was getting ready to walk out of the door, I felt the urge to throw on my denim vest. I’m glad I did because it gave this big fabulous skirt the bit of edge and casualness that I like in my outfits!

Would you make your own no-sew tulle skirt? How would you style it? (I have a fun little challenge coming up next week, so have your tulle and DIY skills ready ;-))

P.S. This is my 500th post!!! THANK YOU all for hanging in there with me for 500 posts that have given me the opportunity to share my style, my self, and hopefully a bit of inspiration. <3

P.P.S. Sorry for the picture heavy post. I liked so many of the pics that I had a hard time narrowing them down, lol.

I love the length of this skirt! How long did you cut the tulle this time? How many yards did you use total? 🙂

  • super cute. I actually purchased some tulle skirts on ebay, because come april I want to do a tulle skirt lookbook. As a fulltime working mom, and blogger, and youtuber, I can’t seem to find the time to make a tulle skirt, but i really want to! I want a pink one and one in colbalt blue. ebay doesn’t have those colors. How long did it take for you to make the skirt?
