I’m sure y’all have figured out by now that I love print mixing and color blocking, but there a moments where i have to want to wear one color. Well, Women’s Day at church each year is one of those times, and this year the color was purple, which actually happens to be one of my favorite colors, even though I don’t wear it enough! After a few months of looking for a purple dress, I couldn’t find one I liked, so I had one made .
I’ve really been smitten with trumpet skirts lately (like this or this), so when I was brainstorming ideas with Aunt Jerona, my seamstress, there were several trumpet skirts in my inspiration files. I love the way the dress turned out, and I look forward to pairing it with prints, colors, and layers in the future.
Today’s Tip: When you can’t find what you are looking for in the stores (brick and mortar and online), have it made! As seamstress or tailor really can be your best friend!
