Daytime Sparkle

I woke up Sunday morning with every intention of wearing a pink dress my mom bought for me about a month ago, but when I put it on Sunday morning, it just didn’t speak to me.  While the people at church  have come to expect not so average outfits from me, I do feel the urge to tone down my outfits from time to time because it is never my intention to have a lot of attention.  This is what I struggled with when this skirt called out to me Sunday morning, but I can only be me, right?

Shirt:  Merona- Target (similar); Skirt: Unknown- vintage from Hunt.Gather.Style (this one is just like it); Shoes:  Enzo Angiolini (I originally wore a different shoe but the heel broke during church :-()

I haven’t worn this skirt since this post, but it never ceases to put a smile on my face!  I don’t know who created the notion that sequins are made for evening affairs, but I’d like to tell them, they are wrong, lol.

Today’s Tip:  Don’t wait until evening to wear special occasion attire.  Add some sparkle to your daytime looks!  Don’t hesitate to be you, even if it means you must stand out from the crowd.

  • lovely, and not too flashy 🙂 i think it’s a great church outfit

  • Wow, I love this look. So Casually Glam.

  • You look very fab. I see this look as an everyday look in our world. Sequins make life better. Is it wrong that I chuckled at the broken shoe part. ha
