Three Style Favorites

In fashion and style, there are a few things I love…denim, color, print, and texture!  Of course, I wasn’t thinking about it when I put this outfit together for church last Sunday, but this outfit has at least three of those things, which makes me love it.

I’m of the belief that denim, of some sort, can work for just about any occasion, except maybe a job interview (and a few other exceptions), and I’ve been wearing this paint and glue splattered shirt since a found it at a swap party a couple of months ago.  I know there are those who are “Team All Black,” but I just can’t imagine my wardrobe without color!  I imagine that if I loved wearing black clothes, I’d only have colorful shoes, lol. I know people are all about mixing print these days, but sometimes I go look through old pics for #tbt (throwbackthursday) on social media, and I realize, I’ve been mixing prints since before it was the trendy thing to do.  Print has a way of making any outfit interesting.  I didn’t realize it until typing this post, but this outfit has texture too, thanks to the pony hair of my shoes.  I don’t think I’d have bought these shoes if this print was done in suede or flat leather, so I don’t know how I could’ve forgotten about the texture!

Shirt:  Details- from a swap party (make your own with this tutorial); Skirt:  Hub Bub- vintage; Belt:  IDK (similar)

Shoes: 10 Crosby Derek Lam c/o Shopbop, where they’re sold out (get them here)

Clutch:  Clutched & Covered (available for pre-order by emailing me)

If you’ve read this blog long enough, or will continue reading int he future, you will notice that these four things have a “magical” way of appearing in my outfits, regularly.  What are your style/fashion faves that you try to incorporate into your outfits?

P.S. Does the blog look a little different to you?  I hope you like the somewhat subtle redesign!
