Back Like I Never Left…Again

Actually, I’m back like “what on earth am I doing?” LOL. Blogging has changed so much since my last post 4.5 years ago…I don’t even think people really call it blogging anymore. Truth be told, I really got burned out with blogging in 2014/2015, and I believe it was due to the mental pressures and comparisons I was placing on myself. Blogging, at the time was heading into an editorial direction {it’s there now, and everyone’s an Influencer instead of a Blogger}, That just wasn’t feeling authentic for me, and I felt like no one would read if I didn’t go in that direction, so I stepped away, I have no regrets about that decision! I didn’t miss blogging at all for like 3 years, lol. Then every so often, I’d have a desire to write…so I’d write a lengthy IG post, or I’d get a random comment on a old ass blog post, or someone would message me about how much they used to enjoy my blog. The idea of re-launching this blog would pop up over and over during 2019, so I started this year with creating content, as one of my goals. I thought that making YouTube videos would be fun {and I’ve enjoyed the few IGTV videos I’ve made}, but decided that I wanted this blog to be a base first before I get into making videos, and the other content I want to create. So, here we are!

I am not fully sure of what the content in the space will look like…but I remain on a journey to be lovely and to live a lovely life, and this is where I will share! I am no longer concerned with meeting the editorial aesthetic of modern Influencing, if this will make money, nor what other people are doing.

I just want to have a space to share – my thoughts and ideas, my style, my plants, my crafts, my travel, my ups and downs, and whatever else I think makes my life lovely.

So…I’M BACK, and I’m very happy to be here!

P.S. Thanks to some malware, I’ve deleted the 5+ years of content from my old blog, so I’m starting over on Squarespace. * insert face palm emoji*
