Somewhere there are several word memes floating around about doing the shit that scares you. I don’t know where these memes originated, but they seem to ring true for a lot of people, because they’re always being shared, including by me. From launching my businesses, to applying for my new role this school year, to wearing my ass out on the beach, or posing for a nude photo, and more, I embrace the idea of doing the shit that scares me. It’s just so rewarding!

One of the things I’ve been wanting to do for a few years now, is host a podcast, but I’ve procrastinated in one way of another, mostly out of fear of the unknown. What will I podcast about? How will I get list? Will people listen? How do I make podcast episodes? Well, this year I put “create a podcast” on my goals list, and after a few months of trying to learn how to make episodes, coming up with a name, designing a logo, along with talking myself out of trying to be perfect {this is SO HARD for me…you too?}, and more, I have finally launched my podcast, Black Style Anecdotes!!!

My first episode, a brief introduction to what the podcast will be about, is live now {which has me nervous and excited}! You can listen on Apple Podcast and Spotify, for now {awaiting approval from Google Play}, and I’d LOVE it if you’d listen, subscribe, and tell a friend. I’m terrified about this new endeavor, but looking forward to the journey, and I’m grateful for those who choose to be on this podcasting journey with me.

I officially have a podcast! You pretty much can’t tell me nothing, at least for the weekend, lol. {Monday I’ll log in to GarageBand to work on next week’s episode, and remember that I don’t exactly know what I’m doing, and be humbled, lol.}

What’s something you’ve been wanting to do, but have been too scared? Tell me in the comments, and then go do that shit.
